There are moments in life that shake you to your core. Moments that stop you in your tracks and remind you just how fragile this journey really is. For me, that moment came not long ago. What started as a normal day turned into a fight for my life. A dissection, something no one caught on the scans, nearly took me out. And yet, here I am. Breathing. Working. Laughing. Building again. Not because of luck, but because of grace.
See, all the imaging in the world can’t capture what God can see. Sometimes He allows things to unfold not to break us, but to wake us up.
The Hospital Room Changed Everything
I’ll never forget lying there, watching the monitors beep, hearing the footsteps, and feeling the uncertainty in the air. But I wasn’t alone. My wife, Lynn, never left my side. She prayed when I couldn’t speak. She encouraged me when I couldn’t move. She reminded me that no matter what happened, God wasn’t done with us yet.
That kind of love, the kind that shows up when you’re at your weakest, changes a man. It reminds you that success means nothing if you don’t have someone who believes in you when the world stops spinning.
The Climb Back
Recovery wasn’t fast. It wasn’t glamorous. But it was sacred. Each day, I grew a little stronger, a little more grateful, and a little more focused. As I watched AEG rebuild and grow during that time, I saw something incredible unfold. We became ten times stronger, not because of perfect plans or flawless execution, but because we were forced to lean on faith more than strategy.
The truth is, God used what almost broke me to rebuild everything around me stronger, clearer, and more aligned with His purpose than ever before.
What I Learned About Life, Faith, and Business
As entrepreneurs, we crave control. We want to fix everything, predict everything, and plan everything. But sometimes life has to remind us that we’re not the ones in charge. God is. And when He takes the wheel, things begin to align in ways you could never have imagined.
I went from hospital walls to boardroom calls. From doubt to divine direction. I stopped chasing busy and started building with intention. Because now I understand that growth isn’t about speed; it’s about obedience.
Embracing the Journey of Growth
Growth is a journey, not a destination. It’s filled with twists, turns, and unexpected detours. Each challenge we face can teach us valuable lessons. I learned to embrace uncertainty and trust the process.
When you focus on your purpose, you’ll find clarity. You’ll discover that every setback can lead to a comeback. Each obstacle can become a stepping stone. This mindset shift is crucial for anyone looking to thrive in business and life.
To Everyone Out There Fighting Their Own Battle
Maybe you’re rebuilding after a loss. Perhaps you’re chasing a dream that feels out of reach. Or maybe you’re standing in your own storm, wondering if you’ll make it out. Let me tell you, you will. Keep moving forward. Keep your faith anchored. Keep believing that what feels like an ending might just be God’s setup for a brand-new beginning.
Because when you trust Him in the dark, you’ll see light in places you didn’t even know existed.
We’re Back and Ready to Help You Rise
AEG is not just back; we’re transformed. We’ve walked through the valley, and now we’re walking with purpose. Our mission has never been clearer: to help people rebuild stronger, in business and in life.
So if you’re ready to rise after the storm, if you’ve been through something that shook your world and you’re ready to find your next level, reach out. Let’s build your comeback story together. Because I’m living proof, God still writes the best comebacks.
